Directors & Officers Liability Insurance is a relatively new insurance product in the Caribbean. In the past, many domestic corporations were owned by closely connected family shareholders and did not consider this coverage necessary.

However, the growth of large public companies across the Region, the development of the international business sector in jurisdictions such as Bermuda, Cayman and Barbados, and the increasing demand from independent Directors for D&O protection have led to a growing portfolio of business for regional insurers and Lloyd’s.
